“At what age did you receive your first valentine’s gift?
Well, mine, was at age 20. It wasn’t a gift from my boyfriend but from a random friend, I had just met few days before valentine’s day. That day I was running an errand for my mum when suddenly the guy stopped his car close to my pathway and shouted “Happy valentines’ day”. Stretching his hand towards me, he gave me some wraps of 5000 cash. That was the first day I had ever received a valentines’ gift from anyone.
Growing up I didn’t really love valentine’s day (no specific reason for that) but because of the movies I have been seeing, I now have the fantasy of how I want my valentine’s day to be.
But it seems like nature doesn’t want me to have a fulfilled valentine yet. Because all the guys I have dated haven’t fulfilled my valentine’s gift fantasy.
What are those valentine gift fantasy? You may ask.
My valentine’s gift fantasy is a night before valentine’s day, we will be together in the same room. And once the clock ticks 12 am on valentine’s day morning, he will wake up and kiss my forehead and then give me lovely rose flowers, chocolates, a new set of designer shoes, handbags, and clothing and the final one would be him giving me his undivided attention for the whole day.
A whole day without a phone. Just the two of us, enjoying ourselves with movies, lovemaking, sleeping, and talking to each other.

“I don’t know if this is a difficult fantasy, that none of them has ever thought to fulfill”.
Have you ever told them or given them a clue? You might ask again. Well, yes, I have given
my ex-boyfriend a clue. ‘Not to forget that I want those fantasy to be a surprise one’.
On my own side, I have been the one gifting all the boyfriends that I have dated. That is why I am running out of ideas on what to gift him this year again.
What valentine gift should I give my boyfriend this year?
As valentine’s day is drawing close, this question has been on my mind. I don’t like repeating gifts and that is why it is very difficult making a decision.
I have three options which are:
1. A Rolex wrist watch (his favorite, but I’m currently not financially stable to afford it).
2. Redecoration of his office
3. Getting him another pair of Gucci shoes.
With the above three options, I am obviously left with two, which is more confusing because I know he will be very happy to receive either one but will be happier if I can do the second option, but that too is quite expensive. I can only afford another Gucci shoe and that will mean ‘repetition of gifts.
If you were in my shoes, which of the above gift would you give him?
I can only go for the one I can afford now; which is the Gucci shoe. I will go against my rule of not repeating gifts and probably not repeat it next year.
If you are also thinking of gifts to give to your girlfriend or boyfriend, you can comment down below and let me know what you are getting him/her this year.
Sometimes it’s not really about how expensive a gift is, but it’s the love that was invested into it, we should cherish in our hearts.
This is true Christina. Thanks, dear.
Since the pair of Gucci shoes is what you can afford..I suggest you buy them for him.. Don’t mind it’s repeating of gifts …
Ok, Desmond. Thanks, for the suggestion.
I don’t even know what gift to get for my boyfriend on Valentine’s day…And even if I do.How would he get it.Distance is a barrier.
But I’m thinking of getting one for my girlfriend, princess….Though it’s a rare thing. But I just feel I should do it again this year.
Giving your girlfriend gift on a valentine’s day is an awesome thing. Valentine is for those we love. it isn’t for only those in an intimate relationship. So, I must say I love you, dear Cheta. I am also sure, your girlfriend loves you.
Yeah,she does.
To me exchange of gifts during valentine’s aside from given to family’s re for those who hv lover’s which ain’t included …….
So, Henry, Does that mean you won’t be giving your lover gifts?
