Movies are usually used to cure boredom and when you find the funny and interesting ones, you have found something good. That is why I thought to write this post, even though they are old movies, you will definitely be happy to rewatch them again if you have already seen them before, but if you haven’t, I am happy to introduce the movies we grew up watching and still love.

These are some of the delights of our childhood. Given, that most of them are comedies but these movies are classics that we never got tired of.

1. Matilda (1996)

A young girl with psychic abilities has a lot of battles to face especially from her cruel family.

She began to attend school as she found education an escape from her troubles only to discover to her chagrin that the headmistress is a crazy, cruel lady, in fact no better than the family she left at home. With the aid of her growing powers and a sharp mind, she deals with her cruel, estranged family and rescues her kindhearted teacher from their cruel headmistress.

2. George of the Jungle (1997)

The 1997 classic had a powerful storyline which we swallowed immediately. George, the hero of the story is a young man who was lost in a plane crash and left for dead.

He was rescued by a group of intelligent apes and was fairly living an undisturbed life till a group of explorer’s stumbles on his hone. George falls in love with Ursula, the rich heiress but even the couple has quite a several challenges to tackle.

3. Coming to America (1988)

Perhaps, coming to America is the most famous of Eddie Murphy’s movies. The movie is about a prince who has never seen the world and was about to get married, he convinces his father to let him travel the world, and he and his friend, Semi land in New York.

Keeping his identity quiet, he begins to work as a cleaner and then falls in love with his employer’s daughter who was engaged to someone else. The movie goes ahead to tell the budding love between the prince and the girl and further, the disappointment she feels when she learns of his true identity.

Akin goes home reluctant but even Love has a way of conquering all.

Dennis stays with Mr. and Mrs. Wilson when his parents must travel for business. Even though he is driving Mr. Wilson nuts with all his mischief, five-year-old Dennis is only attempting to help, and help he sure did because he caught the thief who has stolen from him.
