5 Best Reasons Why Learning A Language Is Important

Learning new language is one of the hardest thing to do. Most of us aren’t taught the language we speak right now but we were able to speak them fluently because we heard people speaking it around us.

Now coming to a language we barely know anyone who speaks it unless we see them in movies or on social media. This is quite a challenge, however if we consider the importance and advantage of learning a new or second language, we will all want to.

Most of us just thought knowing how to speak multiple languages is a waste of time because we thought it doesn’t have anything to add to our lives but I’m here to amaze you that it does.

Previously, we have talked about how to stay committed in our plans of learning new language but right now, we will be discussing the importance of learning a new or second language.

1. Opens door of opportunities

Most of us don’t really know the opportunities we can be opened to if we can speak more than one language.

The fact that schools all over the world offer linguistics as a course should make us understand the bright side of this. Even if you aren’t a linguist, you can still access some opportunities because you know how to speak more than a language.

In so many job interviews, the company will prefer employing candidates that can speak multiple languages to those who can’t. It’s like adding a feather to your cap.

Moreover, language skills is so competitive these days as almost all companies are finding ways to connect with customers all over the world creating a space for those who can speak multiple languages.

In addition,  between the year 2010 and 2015, the number of U.S. job postings specifically targeted toward bilingual peers doubled.

2. Expose you to many cultures around the world

Learning a new language can Deepen Your Connection to Other Cultures.

Language serves as the most direct connection to other cultures because even when some things are changed or abolished in a culture, language aren’t.

Being able to communicate in another language exposes you to other people’s way of life and this is a real privilege.

3. Increase your brain capacity

This is one nice advantage of learning a new language. Learning a new language makes you a Polyglot.

We all know learning a new language improves your communication skills as well as your vocabulary but there’s one more thing that learning a new language does to our brain.

Learning a new language helps us develop a new Brain network that helps us catch things up so fast at the speed of light.

This theory has been proven so many times by scientists and it’s mostly observed in children. This is a good way of improving our brain capacity.

4. It makes connection easy

One main objective of speaking a particular language is for communication sake and the main purpose of communication is to connect.

However, the connection can be limited if you can only speak one language. That means you can only Connect with people who speaks same language as yours.

Learning a new language helps you connect with lots of people because human are program to trust those who speaks their language than those who doesn’t.

Being able to communicate with strangers in their language is an incredible gift.

Bilinguals enjoy a unique opportunity to communicate with a wider range of people in their personal and professional lives.

Knowing the language makes you a local and part of them no matter where you are, opening up your world literally.

You will be shaped by communities, You will be so much amazed at the kindness that will be showered on you from them.

With this, You can build a life time  friendships.

5. Boost Your Confidence

Getting to a new place for the first time will look so strange for someone who doesn’t understand their language because you don’t understand what they are discussing, maybe it’s about you or someone else.

Learning a new language boost your confidence because you can hear what they are saying and can also reply them. This will give you some kind of pride and joy, I can tell you, only this feeling alone will make you want to learn more language.
